Ruukabiii's Terms of Service

General Infomation

  • Commission slots will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you would like a commission as a rush order (finished by a specific date coming up soon), there will be an additional cost.

  • I reserve the right to decline a commission based on content, subject or personal reasons.

  • I am comfortable illustrating original characters, fanart, and minor blood/gore.

  • I will not draw heavy mecha, heavy gore, NSFW topics, furry (except kemonomimi is fine; animal features like ears and tails), or offensive/political content.

  • Please provide clear reference(s) for what you want me to draw as part of your commission inquiry, when you first reach out to me.

  • Any distribution to NFT/blockchain/AI programs is forbidden. If I discover such behaviour, you will be blacklisted from commissioning me.

  • In commissioning me, you agree and acknowledge that the deliverable product is digital artwork. Therefore, there are no physically shipped goods to receive.

Rights & Usage

  • Please credit me when using my artwork, either to my social media (Instagram/Twitter) or my commission website, https://ruukabiiicomms.carrd.co/.

  • Artwork commissioned from me is for personal use only (unless discussed beforehand), meaning it cannot be distributed commercially, sold for profit and/or mass produced on a product of some kind.

  • Commercial usage also applies to using my artwork for content that directly receives monetary profit. For example: donation/support sites (e.g. Patreon, Ko-fi), streams/premieres with superchats and/or ad revenue, etc.

  • Things like using my artwork on your social media accounts (profile pictures, banners, promotional posts that may link elsewhere for profit) are considered personal usage.

  • I reserve the rights to my artwork, like posting WIPs or the finished product on my social media, and including it on my portfolio. However, if you want me to refrain from sharing WIPs before your intended use of my artwork happens, please let me know and I'd be happy to keep it under wraps!

Payment & Workflow

  • Prices listed are all in CAD.

  • Commissions for commercial usage will be two times (2x) the initial price.

  • Currently, I will only accept payment through PayPal or e-transfer (for Canadian clients only). An invoice will be sent to your PayPal email, after which you have a maximum of 3 days to pay. Otherwise, the commission will be cancelled.

  • Full, upfront payment is preferred. If you cannot do 100% upfront, please let me know first and we can discuss alternatives such as 50% upfront.

  • Once payment is confirmed, the sketching phase begins where I produce a rough sketch for approval. During this phase, 3 rounds of revisions are allowed for free. Any more beyond that will incur an additional cost of $5 per revision.

  • Once the sketch is approved, the rendering stage begins. During this phase, 1 free revision is allowed. Any major revisions warranted to the artwork afterwards will incur an additional cost depending on the severity of the revision.

  • I will voluntarily provide screenshots of progress as I make progress on your commission, so please be patient with me!

  • After the commission is finished, you will receive a high-res PNG with no watermark through Google Drive (or another method of file transfer if preferred; please inform me if this is the case).

  • I will notify you if there is going to be any delay in your commission's delivery, such as in the event of an emergency or unforeseen circumstances occurring.

Refund Policy

  • A full refund will be provided only if work has not yet begun on the commission OR I am unable to complete it entirely, which I will clearly communicate if that is the case.

  • If you want to cancel the commission after I have already begun working on it, a partial refund may be provided depending on whether progress is at the sketch, lineart, or flat colours stage for 80%, 50%, and 30% respectively. After I begin rendering, a refund will not be granted.

Thank you for reading through my terms of service. In commissioning me, you agree to abide by all of the above.
